Today a man has been asked to remain in custody for various rapes.
The crimes are said to have been committed in the man’s apartment in Nytorget, in Södermalm in Stockholm, during the years 2018 to 2020.
He was placed in pretrial detention for probable cause on suspicion of one count of aggravated rape, seven counts of rape, and two counts of sexual assault. He had previously been detained on suspicion of three more rapes.
According to the prosecutor, some of the attacks have been filmed and the identity of the women seen in the films is unknown.
– At certain times, women appear to have been asleep or unconscious. We are now eager to get in touch with the women who have been exposed and others who may have information to provide in the case, says courtroom prosecutor Helena Nordstrand in the Söderort prosecutor’s chamber in a press release.
