Donald Trump has not heard from him, but at a lower level, talks with the White House are in full swing.
Here’s what Joe Biden says in the first post-election interview:
– The contacts have been sincere. So far they have not been reluctant and I hope it continues.
Finally, three weeks after the election, a decisive change occurred in the United States. On Monday night, Joe Biden received the go-ahead from an authority within the United States government to formally begin the transfer of power, and Donald Trump tweeted that he is behind the decision.
On Tuesday, as Trump attended the annual ceremony in which the president of the United States pardons a turkey before Thanksgiving, several outlets reported that Biden’s staff immediately initiated contacts with all federal authorities. Joe Biden confirmed this on Wednesday night when he lined up for the first television interview after the election:
– Yes, it has started. They contacted us immediately about national security and in general, he tells NBC’s Lester Holt.

Biden ready to meet Trump
Barack Obama received Donald Trump a week after the 2016 election. Joe Biden said Tuesday that he is ready to meet with Donald Trump:
– Of course I am, if you must ask.
However, so far, Trump has not contacted him even by phone.
– No, I have not heard anything from President Trump, but I understand that his chief of staff has spoken with mine. They are already giving me access to the president’s daily security briefings and we will arrange a meeting with the White House covid team, Joe Biden told NBC.
On Tuesday morning, Biden appeared on stage in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, along with several other key incoming government ministers.
Among the elections are Antony Blinken, 58, as chancellor and John Kerry, 76, as special envoy for the climate. The two worked closely under Obama: Kerry was secretary of state and attorney Blanken, known as “the diplomat of diplomats,” was his deputy.

The appointments should be seen as a signal to everyone, according to Joe Biden:
– America is back! We decided on the table again. I have spoken with more than 20 world leaders and they are all happy and a little excited that the United States is reestablishing its role in the world and forming coalitions.
Biden maintained a crown distance with NBC interviewer Lester Holt.
In the NBC interview, however, he is clear that his presidency should not be seen as a third term for Obama.
– We face a completely different world now than under the Obama / Biden administration. President Trump has changed the landscape. It has become “America first”, it has been “just America.”
Biden says that during his first 100 days as president, he wants new immigration laws and measures against COVID-19 through Congress.
But he is rejecting all speculation that he will launch investigations against Trump.
– I will not act like this president and I will use the Ministry of Justice as my tool to insist that something happened. I focus on getting the American public back to a place where they can feel a little bit of conviction, a little bit of security, a little bit of knowledge that everything will be okay.
