This is how incoming President Joe Biden kicked off the press conference presenting his cabinet and that of Vice President Kamala Harris. These names were named today:

  • Anthony J. Blinken is expected to become Foreign Minister

  • Avril D. Haines will be the first woman to lead the country’s intelligence operations as head of the CIA

  • Jake Sullivan Becomes National Security Advisor

  • Alejandro Mayorkas becomes the first immigrant, also Latin American, to head the Ministry of the Interior, National Security, which is partly responsible for the country’s migration.

  • Linda Thomas-Greenfield, a former ambassador to Liberia who has also served as the United States ambassador to Pakistan, Kenya, the Gambia, Nigeria, and Jamaica, is now the UN ambassador.

  • Janet L. Yellen becomes the country’s Prime Minister of Finance

  • Former Secretary of State John Kerry Becomes First Envoy of States with Special Focus on Climate Issues

– They won’t say what I want to know but what I need to know, said Biden after introducing the cabinet.
