Security will be improved in the country’s district courts. In principle, the 50 district courts must take steps to reduce the risk of spreading the infection, according to a study by Swedish radio Ekot.
The restrictions were already implemented in the country’s trading rooms during the spring, but with the further spread of covid-19, more measures will now be implemented. Among other things, the Södertörn District Court will allow judges and court members to start wearing goggles during negotiations, Ekot’s research shows.
The use of viewers will continue until the chambers have adjusted to the crown with plastic walls between the parts, especially for the judges, who are often in their 70s.
Most courts are reducing the number of people allowed to stand in hallways, and in at least a dozen district courts, Plexiglass is being introduced between some of the courtroom parts within the hall.
