In ways resembling torture, a man was assaulted and raped in his home. All according to an accusation against two men in their 20s.
The incident is said to have been filmed by the men, who threatened to post it online.
– Of course it’s disgusting and it felt humiliating and dizzying for my client, says Göran Franzén, the victim’s litigation assistant.
On August 25, two masked men entered an apartment in the Majorna district of Gothenburg. The men assaulted the owner of the apartment, who was sitting and playing computer games, tied him up, stuffed a sock in his mouth and covered his head with a pillowcase, all according to the indictment in Gothenburg District Court.
For just over 20 minutes, the victim was hit with a shoehorn, and the men also committed an act that according to the Penal Code corresponds to aggravated rape.
The men then stole valuables such as jewelry, mobile phones, clothing and alcoholic beverages. They also forced the victim to transfer money to them, stole his bank card and forced him to hand over the code.

One of the men was caught on a surveillance camera while emptying the victim’s payroll account.
Posed in the victim’s clothes
When the abuse ended, the victim struggled for what he believes was about 15 minutes to escape. Shocked, he went to a nearby gas station where he borrowed a phone and was able to call his girlfriend.
The victim reported the incident to the police and it was not long before the police located the suspects, two men in their 20s.
When one of the men was arrested, he was wearing the victim’s outer jacket. When police checked their cell phones, they also found images of the perpetrators posing in exclusive designer clothing of the victim.
The police investigation also shows that one of the men was caught on a surveillance camera at an ATM when he emptied the victim’s payroll account.
“He showed a special cruelty”
The two men have been indicted in Gothenburg District Court on suspicion of robbery, drug-related offenses (police also found a large amount of ecstasy) and aggravated rape.
The men have admitted that they robbed the victim but deny the rape.
Prosecutor Andreas Pernmyr believes that the abuse committed by the perpetrators is more serious than a violation of the normal degree. He writes in an email to Aftonbladet that the perpetrators “… have shown particular cruelty or rudeness.”

After the robbery, the suspects shamelessly posed in the victim’s designer clothes and posted the image on social media.
According to the victim, the men also filmed the attack and allegedly tried to extort money from him, says the man in questioning:
“It was very humiliating. And they also say they will leak this (online, red note) on Thursday unless I send them 10,000 SEK. “
The suspects also confirm that the robbery was filmed. Police have not found the film but believe the information is most likely true.
– I think if you analyzed the phone further, you may have obtained it. But it may also have been filmed with an app that cannot be recreated, says Martin Clarin, a Gothenburg city area police officer.
At first he did not dare to count
The victim’s plaintiff’s assistant, Göran Franzén, tells Aftonbladet that his client has felt very bad after what happened, and that it took time before he dared to say anything about the sexual abuse.
– At first he did not talk about rape, but only about theft. It was only during a police interrogation that it came to light, says Göran Franzén.
Franzén describes the act as abominable and degrading. Explain that the victim has received good support from his girlfriend and other family members.
– It’s pretty good now. But what happened obviously depends on him.
Aftonbladet has sought out the suspects’ attorneys for comment.
