On Tuesday, President-elect Joe Biden plans to nominate several of his future ministers. But as early as Monday, the incoming president’s transition team came out with various names on its website.
– I need a team ready from day one to help me regain America’s place at table headquarters, bring the world together to meet the greatest challenges we face, and advance our security, prosperity, and values. This is the core of that team, says Joe Biden in a press release.
– They also reflect the idea that we cannot meet the deep challenges of this new moment with old thinking and unchanged habits, or without diversity of backgrounds and perspectives. That is why I chose them.

Antony Blinken, 58, is expected to be new Minister of Foreign Affairs. The appointment must be approved by the United States Senate. Between 2015 and 2017, he was undersecretary of state during the presidency of Barack Obama. Blinken has also been Biden’s deputy national security advisor and security advisor during his first four years as vice president.
The elections are expected to involve the United States rejoining the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the Iran nuclear deal, some of Biden’s electoral promises, and halting the United States’ withdrawal from the World Health Organization, WHO.
– The problems we face as a country and the planet, be it climate change, a pandemic or the illegal arms trade, clearly do not have unilateral solutions. Not even a country as powerful as the United States can handle them alone, Blinken said in a speech in July.
John Kerry will be Joe Biden’s climate envoy and lead work on the country’s climate issues. Kerry, 76, was the Democratic nominee in the 2004 presidential election and served as US Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017 under the presidency of Barack Obama.

Lawyer Alejandro MayorkasThe 60-year-old is expected to become the new Homeland Security Minister as the first Latino. He was born in Cuba and between 2013 and 2016 he was Vice Minister of Internal Security.
Foreign affairs adviser and investigator Jake Sullivan, 43, is nominated as a national security adviser. Lawyer Avril Haines, 51, will also be the new head of the US National Intelligence Service, as the first woman.
The 68-year-old African-American and diplomat Linda Thomas-Greenfield is expected to secure the post of UN ambassador.
