The alarm went off at 6 p.m. Monday night. A truck and a car had collided head-on on the E45 southbound near Rasta.
– It’s a serious accident, says Niclas Fogelqvist in the rescue service.
The road is completely closed to the south, says the Swedish Transport Administration. Traffic will be redirected beyond the crash site.
Heading north, traffic flows at a limited speed.
Initially, five ambulances were called to the scene.
Woman and child to the hospital.
A total of three people are involved in the accident, two in the car and the driver of the truck.
The two people were taken to the hospital by ambulance and ambulance helicopter, respectively.
According to the police, it is about a woman and a child who were traveling in the car.
– The driver survived but is shocked, says Roger Broqvist, operations manager of the Södra Bohuslän rescue services association.

Roger Broqvist explains that the car has moved in the wrong direction on the road that does not intersect in the section.
– We don’t know how the car ended up on the wrong side, he says.
At 7.15 pm, the rescue service was still working at the scene.
– We tried to clear the road. The car is demolished, says Roger Broqvist.
Police will impound the car and truck for a technical investigation.
