The European Handball Championship will end in December. Now Denmark confirms that it is in charge of the entire championship.

Due to the crown pandemic, the European Women’s Handball Championship has remained uncertain. The championship would have been played in Norway and Denmark, with finals in Norway.

Last week, Norway was forced to give up its accommodation due to the country’s strict restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

On Monday, ten days before the opening of the European Championship, Denmark’s Minister of Culture, Joy Mogensen, announced that the country will take over the entire championship.

– It is the green light to play the entire European Handball Championship on Danish soil, writes Mogensen on Facebook according to DR.

The Danish Handball Association has been preparing to take over the entire European Championship since Norway’s announcement.

The European Handball Championship will be played between December 3 and 20. The matches are decided in Herning and Kolding.

The sixteen teams of the European Championship will live in their own bubbles before and during the tournament. The players and leaders of the national teams will also be crowned at regular intervals.
