Monday’s operation in the area began at 1 p.m.

– Here it is in full force, one of the residents of the neighborhood told GP at an early stage.

– There are three police cars and two gray vans here. The whole street is cordoned off. They haven’t told me what it is about, the resident continued.

Another neighbor says that he has been asked to stay away from the windows that overlook the plot that the police are investigating.

– There are a lot of police and big police cars here, he says.

“New information has arrived”

Police spokeswoman Anna Göransson says at 2:20 p.m. that the operation is still ongoing and that the national bomb protection is activated.

– We had a previous case of general destruction at this address this summer. Now there is new information indicating that there may be additional dangerous objects on the site, he says.

According to Göransson, the search is not carried out inside the house, but mainly outside the building in question.

The previous incident to which you refer occurred on August 6, when a suspected hand grenade exploded at the site.

– Then there was damage to property and a car. The information now is that there may be something left since then. There are no new dangerous objects, says Göransson.

The preliminary investigation into the incident this summer is led by Göran Sundström, an inspector from the department of serious crimes.

– At that moment, that night something exploded. We are investigating it as a general destruction. We view today’s work on the site as a pure precaution. This is not a new threat to this plaintiff, says Göran Sundström.

A neighbor who lives in the area says that what is happening makes him uncomfortable.

– Although it is not directed at us, it feels uncomfortable, our whole family woke up when it exploded here two, three months ago, says the person.

Threats people with connections to addresses

One of the theories of the police is that there is a threat linked to people connected to the current addresses.

It is about a young man who was demanded just over half a million crowns after a tangled investment agreement and alleged debt relationships.
