We turned over the president’s account to Biden

Donald Trump mistakenly declared himself the winner of the presidential election and alleged voter fraud without evidence, prompting the social media giant Twitter to block most of his proposals. The company now claims that the official presidential account will be delivered to Joe Biden early next year.

The microblogging Twitter will deliver the official account of the President of the United States, “@potus”, to the Joe Biden administration on January 20, 2021.

This was announced by the company on Sunday.

The “@Potus” account is the official account of the president and is separate from the personal account that Donald Trump used frequently during his time in the White House.

Other official accounts such as “@flotus”, “@vp”, “@whitehouse” will also be delivered on the inauguration day of the new government.

Following the presidential election in early November, Twitter has flagged many of Donald Trump’s tweets with red flags.

On the one hand, they noted at an early stage that the election outcome was unclear, when Donald Trump wrongly declared himself the winner, and that there are “divided opinions on the content” in cases where Trump has denounced voter fraud without evidence.

In later cases, the incumbent president’s proposal was completely hidden and the reader was forced to actively click to view the content.
