Ibrahimovic replaced the hero of the match against Naples

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was Milan’s great league hero in a 3-1 win over Napoli in Serie A. The 39-year-old offensive star scored two goals at the summit and clinched the league lead alone before to be replaced due to injuries after 78 minutes of play.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to lead AC Milan to the top of the Italian soccer league. In Sunday night’s away game against Napoli, the Swede scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season and thus surpassed Juventus’s Cristiano Ronaldo, eight goals, in the only league advantage in shots.

The 39-year-old attacker first put his head on a post from attacking left-back Theo Hernández to make it 1-0 in the 20th minute of the match at the San Paolo stadium in Naples.

In the second half, “Ibra” hit 2-0 with his right thigh off a post from his attacking colleague Ante Rebic in the 54th. Napoli were reduced to 1-2 through Dries Mertens after just over an hour of play, but Milan did not concede more goals and secured three points.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic left the field with a smile on his face when he was substituted in the 78th minute, taking his side for the lead. Milan’s 3-1 goal was scored by 21-year-old Norwegian midfielder Jens Petter Hauge, who was replaced by Rebic and scored the first goal of his career in Serie A in the 95th minute.

With the victory, Milan regained the league lead with their 20 recorded points, two before the second Sassuolo. Napoli, in third place before the eighth round, fell to sixth place.
