AIK lost 2-0 at home to Örebro on Sunday. Left-back Eric Kahl, who broke through this year and is a regular in the starting eleven, scored the first goal of the game, in his own cage. In the 39th minute, the 19-year-old pushed the ball into the net from very close after an ÖSK tackle in the penalty area.
After the game, Kahl is depressed.
– Of course it is sad to lose, considering that we had so much ball and the positions we had. It’s obviously frustrating. But we must learn from this and keep working. I think we need to perfect things in the last third. We had more and better locations than Örebro, says Kahl.
What do you think of the 1-0 goal?
– I can learn from that. There is nothing more to say. It’s a minor mistake and I know it. I can only keep working. I can analyze the game. That is what happens.
– I put myself in the wrong position and took a chance and hit it. But if I hadn’t been there, he would have had an open goal anyway. I took a chance and it didn’t work out so well. But it happens.
