Johan Carlson says he fully understands that people are uncomfortable in this situation, as no vaccine has yet been approved.
– Before starting a vaccination campaign, we must know more, he says.
To the campaign To be effective in trying to eradicate Covid-19, at least 60-70 percent of Swedes must be vaccinated. According to Johan Carlson, it is up to everyone to strike “a reasonable balance” between taking the vaccine or not.
– It’s not about shame and guilt. There may be reasonable doubts. But everyone should be able to think about this and which way to go. As is often the case in Sweden, most choose to get vaccinated.
Social Affairs Minister Lena Hallengren (S) believes that more people will want to get vaccinated when a vaccine is finished and information improves.
– It is very important that everyone thinks about the benefits, it says in the SVT Agenda.
