Astrit Selmani scored two goals against Östersund.

Allsvenskan’s contract is secured.

Now Astrit Selmani is chasing a title, as king of shooters.

After two goals against Östersund, they lead the league.

After a long bus ride from Halland, the Varberg players hit the Jämtland soil and breathed fresh winter air.

A point was required to secure the contract before the final two rounds, when the Halland Falkenbergs FF competitor still had a chance to pass.

Östersund, on the other hand, was clear even before kickoff and perhaps gave Varberg oxygen.

It took the guests just under three minutes to relax their hold on the homeless Östersund. As Albert Ejupi sped down the left wing, Astrit Selmani headed for the front post and gave Varberg the lead with his shot.

The home side’s reaction was weak and in the 24th minute Astrit Selmani helped teammate Junes Barny, who put the visitors 2-0 with a good shot.

Secured the contract

Östersund struggled to create reduction situations, but scored a goal (hands on Blair Turgott).

In the second half, Astrit Selmani Östersund lowered the total by making it 3-0. The goal means he leads the shooting league with 14 goals just for Isaac Kiese Thelin and Christoffer Nyman of Norrköping.

Varberg also countered 4-0 before the final time through Robert Tranberg.

But perhaps the most important thing this Sunday were the contracts secured with the Allsvenskan for both clubs. It was clear even before Östersund’s kickoff with the defeat of Kalmar. Varberg secured his by victory in the north.
