A man in his 25s was shot and killed in a residential area in Kungsängen, north of Stockholm.
Initially there was a chaotic atmosphere at the scene with people trying to reach the victim.
– We are looking for an alleged perpetrator, says Carina Skagerlind in the Stockholm region police.
Shortly after 11 p.m. tonight, several people contacted the police after hearing gunfire at Tibble in Kungsängen.
The police withdrew with great force. A police helicopter also headed towards the scene.
The gunshot wounded man in his 25s was found in a residential area. He was treated by ambulance personnel, but could be found dead.
The place, which is outdoors, has just been cordoned off.
– There are some witnesses we are listening to at the moment, says Carina Skagerlind.

Task: Perpetrator left on moped
Initially, there was a chaotic atmosphere at the scene with people trying to enter the police roadblocks towards the victim, who was lying on the grass near an apartment building.
– The man remained in the place after the work of the medical personnel. There was a lot of excitement among the people there and the police had to work to keep people away. But it should have calmed down quickly, says Carina Skagerlind.
Sources tell Aftonbladet that the perpetrator left on a moped and is wanted by police.
Someone or people have been brought in for questioning, but so far no one has been suspected of the murder.
A resident in the area tells Aftonbladet he heard gunshots.
– It was twice two shots and then another. It sounded like automatic fire. Five minutes later a police car appeared. Now there are a lot of police cars here and a helicopter flies when it’s upstairs, he says.
