Hundreds of tests have been reserved or collected, but have not been returned for analysis, warns the Västernorrland Region. Stock Photography.
In the Västernorrland Region, 799 of the covid-19 self-tests that were booked or collected during weeks 45 and 46 have not been returned for analysis.
A total of 6,254 tests were recorded or collected during the period.
Since the number of tests is limited, the loss can mean that people who really need a test will be left without, writes Region Västernorrland on its website.
“It is important that you only book a self-test if you are ill and it is very important that you cancel the test if you are impaired or recovering,” says Karin Sellgren, sampling project manager for the Västernorrland Region.
The region emphasizes that you should only book a self-check if you have had persistent symptoms of the coronavirus for 24 hours.
A collected test must be returned within 90 minutes. Saving is not possible and therefore should not be collected for preventive purposes.
