The Labor Market and Social Affairs Committee’s decision aims to help restaurants suffering from reduced incomes during the corona pandemic, according to the M-top.
“Hopefully this is something that can help many restaurant companies at a time when government passivity and lack of interest threatens to destroy the entire industry,” writes Torbjörn Tegnhammar on Facebook.
The proposal was voted on by the moderates, the center party, the Swedish democrats and the liberals. The Social Democrats, the Left Party and the Green Party voted against.
– I’m very happy about this. The people of Malmö have shown a great commitment to their favorite restaurants and to them in surviving the crisis. Now the people of Malmö will be able to continue helping, says the committee’s second vice president, Helena Nanne (M) to Sydsvenskan.
