US President Donald Trump is firing the country’s cybersecurity chief, Christopher Krebs, because he has rejected Trump’s claims that there has been extensive voter fraud in the presidential elections.

“Chris Krebs’ latest statement on the security of the 2020 elections is highly incorrect as there have been widespread irregularities and fraud,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

As head of Cisa, the cybersecurity authority in the United States, Krebs last week wrote a statement along with a long list of senior security officials in the United States government, saying that the 2020 presidential elections were the safest. in American history.

“We know that there are several unfounded complaints and possible misinformation about the electoral process, but we can assure you that we have the highest confidence in the security and integrity of our electoral system. You should also have that,” they wrote, among other things.

Christopher Krebs was then open about believing he would be fired by Donald Trump.
