Prince Harry and Meghan received the Queen Elizabeth award on the traditional Memorial Day.
Instead, the couple hosted a photoshoot at a Los Angeles cemetery.
– Disgusting! Says host Piers Morgan.

Every year, Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family pay attention to Remembrance Day, the day of remembrance for the dead in the two world wars.

The family observed two minutes of silence for the victims at the Whitehall memorial in London. They then place wreaths on the monument.

According to British media, Prince Harry asked his grandmother to place a crown of him and Meghan on the spot. But the prince had to call his hand.

Queen Elizabeth believes that Harry and Meghan should be considered private individuals and not royals. This is true during the probationary year that has been instituted since Harry and Meghan announced that they would be leaving the royal house for a freer and anonymous life out of the limelight.

Dressed like royalty

But the couple were not satisfied with the missing crown. They organized a photoshoot at the Los Angeles National Cemetery, where many war veterans are buried.

They were both dressed in dark colors, as royalty is always in London today. Prince Harry wore a suit with several awards on the chest, a typical royal look. In addition, they wore the traditional poppy flower, a symbol of those who died in World War II.

They placed a wreath on one of the graves and kept their own minute of silence. The images were then released to the media through the couple’s public relations department.

But the increase has drawn huge criticism in the UK.

– It’s a nasty publicity stunt, says Piers Morgan, host of “Good Morning Britain.”

He believes the photos of the couple were a way of getting revenge because the queen refused to allow the couple to have their own crown at the ceremony in London.

Strong criticism of the couple

Court reporter Richard Palmer writes on Twitter:

“The rift between the castle and Harry and Meghan is deepening. Why do you need to bring in a PR photographer and then post pictures of a ‘private moment’ on Memorial Day?”

Social networks were quickly filled with strong criticism of the couple. Many thought they were sending double signals. They leave the royal family to escape the limelight, while doing their best to garner continued media attention.

But there are also those who defend the couple and say it was important for Prince Harry to show his respect on this day. He was forced to give up his military duties when he left the royal house, which is said to be a great pain to the prince. Among other things, he has served in Afghanistan.
