A woman has been arrested since police after a car chase broke the tires of the car she was driving and pulled her off the road on the outskirts of Ljusdal. Stock Photography.
The night before Thursday, the police smashed the tires of the car she was driving and, after a chase, finally managed to stop the trip by pulling her off the road. The woman has now been arrested, reports SVT Nyheter Gävleborg.
After the arrest hearing on Sunday, the Hudiksvall District Court determined that the woman, who denies the crime, is suspected of gross negligence in traffic and attempted robbery.
It started with an alleged robbery on the outskirts of Järvsö. A car disappeared from the scene, but closer to Ljusdal, a police patrol managed to stop it. Police tried to remove the woman, who is in her 30s, but she went ahead.
In the end, the police smashed the tires, pulled the car off the road and managed to stop her. She is also suspected of driving drugs.
A police officer was about to be beaten and the woman was also initially suspected of attempted murder. But according to the prosecutor, it is not possible to prove that there was an intention to kill or seriously injure the police and that suspicion was dispelled.
