The US Masters is normally the first golf major of the year, but due to the crown pandemic, the competition had moved from April to November and was played almost entirely without an audience and without all the floral splendor surrounding the course.
It became clear that the audience was not at Augusta National this time.
There was no great cheering and applause from the pines. There were only a few people on the track.

When other major majors and competitions rotate, during a normal year, the US Masters returns to Georgia in April of each year.
But it is more than the mythical path that stands out in an important context.
The starting field is limited to just over 90 players.
Gossips might call the US Masters an invitational contest because old masters are always welcome.
Many of them you have no reasonable chance of winning or even exceeding the ranking limit. German Bernhard Langer, 63, is an exception this year. He became the oldest player yet to play all four rounds.
Of course, the entire world elite is in place in the Major, but the starting field is limited.
But organizers are unlikely to fill the starting field in the future to increase competition.
Tradition, environment, and mysticism are the hallmarks of the American Masters.

That’s why a great moment for Dustin Johnson when, as tradition dictates, he received the classic green jacket from Tiger Woods, last year’s winner.
Johnson, who won the US Open in 2016, has had plenty of chances in the Major, but has shaken through the final rounds.
Four times they have entered the lead ball and failed.
He was now in the lead with four shots before the final round. After two first bogeys (holes four and five), the advantage had been reduced to two strokes.
It didn’t get any more exciting.
The american won finally five strokes clear of Cameron Smith, Australia and South Korean Sungjae Im who shared second place.
He passed all four 20-under-par laps, a record at the United States Masters.
For Sweden, this year’s competition was not a success.
Henrik Stenson, who played the US Masters for the 15th time in a row, was the only blue-yellow in the starting field and missed the qualifying limit by one hit.
