Plan an alternative Christmas celebration now. The call comes from Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, as 710 new cases of covid-19 were found in Norway, the highest daily figure so far during the pandemic.
– I have already been impressed by my two annual mulled wine events. That part of the Christmas celebration is excluded, says Erna Solberg.
It is not clear whether large families with 10-15 members will be able to reunite on Christmas Eve. Today, the recommendation is to meet with a maximum of five people at the same time.
– I would not cancel it yet, but would do alternative planning, says Solberg.
According to Health Minister Bent Høie, events in Norway have been so negative in recent weeks that Norwegians must prepare for a Christmas with coronary restrictions.
