A man and a woman were arrested by the Gothenburg District Court on suspicion of a random murder of a 42-year-old man in Gothenburg.
A 22-year-old man, already in custody for other crimes, has been arrested by the Gothenburg District Court on suspicion also of the knife murder of a 42-year-old man at Backa in Hisingen in Gothenburg earlier this fall.
At the same time, a woman in her 20s was also arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder.
The 42-year-old man was assaulted one night in early October when he went out to litter. According to the prosecutor, there is no connection between the murder victim and the alleged perpetrator. The fact that the 42-year-old was assaulted is described as a coincidence.
A week after the murder, the 22-year-old was arrested by the Gothenburg District Court for two robberies, which also took place in Hisingen. In both the murder and one of the robberies, it is believed that the perpetrator used very strong force.
