Swedish murder suspect in Portugal
The Swede, who is 40 years old, is suspected of having killed his wife, also in her 40s, with a severe blow to the head.
The body showed various signs of violence on the face and skull. There are also suspicions that the victim has been subjected to violence on previous occasions, writes the Portuguese Algarve Primeiro.
The man and woman are said to have lived in Albufeira for some time. The city is located in the western part of the tourist paradise of the Algarve coast in southern Portugal.
Prosecutors believe the suspect lived with the woman’s body in the home for two days after the murder, after which he was arrested.
Woman beaten and robbed in Gothenburg
Police were alerted to the robbery shortly before 3 a.m. on Friday night.
– We received the alarm only a few minutes after it happened, says Fredrik Svedemyr, spokesman for the police in the West region.
A woman in her 25s had been beaten in connection with the robbery in which she disposed of her mobile phone.
She was bleeding from her nose after the beatings, but there is no information that she was seriously injured in the robbery.
On Friday morning, there were no suspects or arrests in the case.
