Tunstall alarm company did not check security alarms as promised. A person who died at home was not found for three months, reports

SVT News West.

Everyone who did not use their security alarm in 30 days would receive a control call, to let them know they were okay. The Tunstall alarm company had promised this in the municipality of Trollhättan.

But according to a bug report from the municipality’s social services office, this was overlooked last year, for a large number of users for a year. Therefore, a person with an alarm could remain dead at home for three months.

Now however the control calls work as planned, claims the alarm company.

– It is very unfortunate what happened. Johan Lenander, Tunstall CEO, tells SVT Nyheter Väst.

Earlier this fall, Tunstall received widespread criticism for security alarms that did not work.
