Croatian Domagoj Vida played poorly during Wednesday’s game.

Sweden’s next international soccer match on Saturday night is now in jeopardy.

Croatian Domagoj Vida played ill with the corona virus in the international training match against Turkey in Istanbul on Wednesday night.

It was discovered at half-time and the 31-year-old midfielder was substituted before the second half.

Domagoj Vida was seen during the match hugging various teammates and opponents.

Tested before Sweden

The Croatian Football Association announces that Domagoj Vida has tested positive for covid-19.

Monday’s tests of all the players and leaders in Croatia gave negative results.

It was after tests on Wednesday before the game against Sweden that Domagoj Vida was ill.

“Domagoj Vida will spend the next few days in quarantine in Istanbul according to the rules,” the Croatian federation wrote on its official website.

Travel to stockholm

At the same time, the association announces that the rest of the squad will now travel to Sweden for Saturday’s game.

Croatia played 3-3 in the away game against Turkey, at the same time that Sweden lost their international training match 2-0 against Denmark at the Parken in Copenhagen.

In all four rounds of Group 3 of the Nations League, Sweden has zero points, Croatia has a victory when they beat Sweden 2-1 in Zagreb on October 11.

On Tuesday night, Sweden will play France in Paris, while Croatia will face Portugal in Split.
