In Skåne there has been a new attack by wolves against sheep. Stock Photography.
A new wolf attack has occurred in Skåne. Ten sheep were attacked in Ravlunda in Österlen overnight on Tuesday.
– Four of them died and the others were injured, says Mikael Bengtsson, wildlife management officer at the County Administrative Board in Skåne
On Saturday, three sheep were attacked in Tyringe, in northern Skåne. At least two of the sheep were killed in that attack.
DNA samples have been taken from both attacks to see if the same wolf is behind. Test results are expected in a few days.
One theory is that it may be the same wolf, named Tönsentiken, that is behind several attacks on sheep in northern Skåne and Kronoberg counties in September.
– But some time has passed since those attacks, says Mikael Bengtsson.
That wolf has previously attacked sheep in several other counties, including Jönköping County.
On Monday, a wolfdog was found dead outside Vaggeryd in Jönköping county. He has also taken DNA samples from that wolf.
