Anders Christiansen tested positive for covid-19 in the middle of celebrating gold with his teammates yesterday.
Despite that, Malmö FF has not tested more players.
– We do tests when you have symptoms, explains Niclas Carlnén, CEO of MFF.
Anders Christiansen played a game, scored a goal, hugged his teammates and launched into close matches for 90 minutes in the gold match against Sirius.
Then many pictures from inside the stadium show him celebrating gold with the other MFF players.
But the captain of the team started feeling hungover in the middle of the celebration, did a quick test and was infected with corona-19.
MFF immediately canceled the late night golden dinner for the team in central Malmö, sent everyone home and announced that they were going to halt all their activities for the rest of the week.

Despite this, MFF has chosen not to test more players or other team staff.
This is on the doctor’s advice, explains MFF CEO Niclas Carlnén when contacted by Sportbladet on Monday night.
– We test when you have symptoms. If the infection occurs like yesterday, it will take a few days before it is visible on tests. Therefore, we have decided not to test generally, but to take them gradually when players have symptoms. So we may do a general test before they go back to first training again, says Carlnén and continues:
– Now we leave all the players at home. Staff close to the team are also working at home this week. We have taken the steps that we think we can do without testing in general. Minimize risks.
