There was initially a good mood at Donald Trump’s vigil Tuesday night. But Trump’s mood changed dramatically when Fox News declared Joe Biden the winner in Arizona. According to the New York Times, Trump allegedly called Rupert Murdoch, the channel’s owner, and personally scolded him, demanding that the channel broadcast a “correction.” Murdoch refused. Since then, according to New York Times sources, Trump has spent much of his time enraged against Murdoch.
For four years it was Fox News and Murdoch’s media empire, an important platform for Trump. They often gave him the opportunity to spread uncritical lies and unfounded accusations. Just over a week before the presidential election, the Murdoch-owned New York Post agreed to publish dubious allegations about Joe Biden’s family, orchestrated by the Trump campaign in an attempt to tarnish the Democrat.

But since Wednesday, there has been a turn of the century in Fox News and in the Murdoch Empire in general.
Some of Trump’s most loyal votes on Fox News still endorse him, but on the channel’s news show, hosts such as Chris Wallace and Bret Baier have consistently questioned Trump’s unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud and corrected repeat guests. Trump’s lies. Even Trump’s personal favorite show “Fox and Friends,” where he himself was a regular commentator ten years ago, has cautiously questioned Trump’s claims in a way we’ve never seen before.
Overall, Murdoch’s anti-Trump tone in the media has become significantly more critical this week.

When Trump held a press conference Thursday marked by lies about the election process, the Murdoch-owned New York Post headlined: “Depressed Trump Makes Unsubstantiated Allegations of Election Fraud.”
When Trump’s son wrote on Twitter that a “war” is needed to defend Trump, the Post put the headline: “Panicked Donald Trump Junior Declares War in Clueless Tweet.”
This symbolic change it can facilitate a peaceful transfer of power in the United States. Donald Trump has made clear attempts to question the legitimacy of the elections and mobilize a national resistance movement that claims that electoral fraud has taken place. Many of his most devoted followers have vowed armed resistance should Biden become president. The fact that Fox News and Murdoch’s media mostly avoid reinforcing this message may reduce the risk of a constitutional crisis.

For Fox News, it means no less a business risk to alienate Trump’s most devoted voters. Many of them are used to seeing Fox News as a loyal voice for Trump. But this week, Trump supporters gathered in Arizona for a rally shouting “Fox News sucks!”
A Trump supporter told The Guardian that Fox News should now be considered a “pure left.”
– You can’t even trust Fox. “They’re the worst chameleons,” Rob Phail, a Trump voter in Michigan, told The Guardian.
According to ABC television channel John Santucci, discussions are now taking place in Trump’s inner circle about how to start Trump TV, a television company that can compete with Fox News.
Rupert Murdoch used to be one of Trump’s top gun bearers. Now they can become arch enemies.
