A total of four people were arrested in connection with Tuesday’s high-profile police operation at the Björklinge church. Two of them were later released with the remaining suspicions, two have now been arrested for probable cause on suspicion of preparing for general destruction.
– There is pre-trial secrecy, so I can’t say anything, says prosecutor Anne Sjöblom.
The police operation in Björklinge is said to have started as a house search and grew when a potentially dangerous object was discovered. The national bomb squad was called in and secured the find.
Anne Sjöblom does not want to comment on the type of object in question, nor for what purpose or investigation the police searched the house.
Was dear
The two men, aged between 25 and 40, who have now been arrested, were wanted at 12.30pm on Tuesday. The youngest was arrested a couple of hours later, the older only on Tuesday night.
– They were arrested elsewhere, says Anne Sjöblom.
The men should not have been previously convicted of a felony.
