A person close to the Prime Minister has been staying close to a person with a confirmed COVID-19. That person tested negative, but “on the advice of a doctor,” Stefan Löfven and his wife Ulla remain in isolation until further notice, the prime minister writes.
“It is the only responsible thing that can be done in this situation. Development is rapidly going in the wrong direction. More are infected. More are dying. It is a serious situation,” writes Löfven.
“We are fine”
The prime minister works remotely and writes that he will undergo a coronation test as soon as possible.
“We are fine and we have no symptoms,” he writes.
No government minister or anyone else in the prime minister’s workplace has been quarantined, according to Stefan Löfven’s press secretary Maria Soläng.
– He has not been found to be infected and the monitoring of the infection is done according to the instructions of medical care, says Maria Soläng.
Morgan Johansson took over
In the absence of Stefan Löfven, Justice and Migration Minister Morgan Johansson took his place at Thursday’s government meeting.
