The woman accused a 54-year-old relative of sexual harassment. The investigation was closed and the woman has now been found guilty of gross defamation after writing about the incident on Facebook, reports Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.
The woman who is now 19 years old told her family that the man exposed himself to her when she was younger. The whole affair eventually led to a police report after the woman collapsed at school.
In June of last year, the 54-year-old man was brought in for questioning and suspected of child pornography offenses and two cases of sexual harassment. But in December of last year, the prosecutor closed the preliminary investigation. So the woman in her disappointment chose to write a long post on Facebook, without mentioning the man’s name but with identifying information.
The woman has now been convicted of gross defamation by the Värmland District Court and must pay SEK 10,000 in damages to the man.
