The incident occurred in mid-October this year at the Salberga de Sala institution.

Documentation from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service indicates that Hassan Al-Mandlawi, 37, during the relevant afternoon went after the institution’s staff, yelled and drove towards them to “seek contact”.

Later, Hassan Al-Mandlawi, according to the documents, became increasingly boisterous and noisy. When staff entered a staff room to interrupt the call, Hassan Al-Mandlawi attacked.

He threw his walker at them and roared and screamed.

“The situation becomes threatening and it feels uncomfortable,” he says.

When Hassan Al-Mandlawi was later summoned for questioning, he claimed that he remembered something of the incident.

Now he receives a warning for using violence against an official, something that Göteborgs-Posten also wrote about.

Convicted of terrorist crimes

Hassan Al-Mandlawi, 37, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorist offenses. He was sentenced along with Al Amin Sultan.

The two participated, according to the verdict, in two executions in Aleppo, Syria, in the spring of 2013, where the victims were slit their throats.

During his time in prison, Hassan Al-Mandlawi has repeatedly misbehaved and been involved in high-profile incidents that led to his isolation.

In September 2018, he was involved in three incidents, where he became angry with two of them for not being able to bring food to his cell.

Once he got so angry that he grabbed one in the hand of the cane and began to rip with his nails, so that it began to bleed and swell.

In the third incident, Hassan Al-Mandlawi was caught on camera hitting another prisoner in the face.
