Janne Andersson brings out a new squad from the national team on Wednesday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic flirts with the national team on social media.

“How long without seeing each other,” the 39-year-old coach writes in a photo wearing the national team jersey, number 10 and captain’s tie.

Sweden will play three games in a week, after an international training match against Denmark, Croatia and France await in Group A of the Nations League.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now diluting speculation about a return to the Swedish soccer team.

The Milan striker, now 39, has not played for the national team since the 2016 French European Championship with Erik Hamrén as team captain.

“Quite clear”

Swedish national team coach Stefan Pettersson tells Sportbladet that he has not had any contact with Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently.

– No, I don’t have that, he says.

Stefan Pettersson has not participated in Zlatan’s proposal on social media, but claims it was simply “We haven’t seen each other for a long time”, they have been seen for a long time.

– Yes, it was … But we don’t have time to put energy into this. It is Janne (Andersson’s national team captain) who has sporting responsibility and his position on this issue has probably been quite clear, says Stefan Pettersson, who claims that the Swedish striker has previously thanked himself in the selection.

Is the leadership of the national team following Ibrahimovic’s progress in Italy?

– If we didn’t, others would tell us …

Milan happened

During the fall, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been successful in Italian Serie A, leading the shooting league with seven goals in four league games.

Following the spectacular cycling kick against Udinese on Sunday afternoon, Zlatan Ibrahimovic also wrote on social media: “Why run when you can fly?”

Sweden plays away against Denmark on Wednesday, November 11 and at home against Croatia on Saturday, November 14 and away against France on Tuesday, November 17.

Sportbladet has searched for Janne Andersson, but does not want to comment on the information.
