MJÖRNBERG: The goalkeeper and the stars led the way in the shredder

Halmstad to Mörrum. Two teams that from a slightly disadvantaged position have acquired good conditions to be able to participate and fight for places in Allettan.

Two teams with big stars experienced in the attack lines.

But above all two teams with young and passionate goalkeepers.

Last year, Jacob Crespin came to play second violin behind the successful Anton Malmborg in Halmstad. This season, a little more responsibility falls on your shoulders.

Before the season, the goalkeeper position stood out as the big question mark in Mörrum. Would either of the two 19-year-old Tingsryds on loan to Emil Cederlund and Didrik Jansson really stick around as first goalkeeper in tough South Hockeyettan?

Cederlund’s answer to that question has been a resounding yes. He has played brilliantly at the beginning of the season and also did well against Hammers.

The young goalkeeper made a couple of really nice interventions and he couldn’t be blamed for the goals that finally began to fall into the stream as Mörrum became increasingly neglected.

On the other hand, Jacob Crespin prevailed and made some really strong saves. Quiet and confident and made sure Halmstad could sit in the driver’s seat at the match.

It’s really fun to see that the regrowth on the goalie side at Hockeyettan is strong and broad.

But then there was that little thing with the seasoned stars. Those who showed the way.

With seasoned Alexander Johansson choosing to sign with Hammers, the team can match a front row that makes all the difference. Paired with Robin Dahse, the SHL veteran dominated the ice and created long attacks and confidence for the home team during the first half of the match. It is contagious and also gives air to other parts of the team and it was noticed within minutes quite immediately.

Robin Dahse looked after the record, circled the box, and served Alexander Johansson. A star collaboration that resulted in an early management goal for Hammers. A combination that not even the talented Cederlund could stop. After that orientation, the rest of the team turned their backs and the network with Martin Pärna, David Stenbacka and Oliver Olsson stood out and had a really fun afternoon.

In Mörrum, all-Swedish clothed wolf Oscar Holst (who had to leave the game after an NHL fight at the end) made his season debut on a network alongside SHL highly deserving Marcus Paulsson (who resigned in the third period). A line that showed good intentions but was far from being as overbearing as the Halmstad name. Something that eventually became crucial.

Mörrum was not bad, at least not in the first two periods, but after all, it was still Halmstad who had slightly faster game turns and a little easier to set up long attacks.

It was all decided at the end of the second act, when Oliver Olsson found the net for the fifth game in a row after he climbed to a free position and hung up the disc 3-1 in the final second of the period. Psychologically leaden, of course.

When the same man was able to score 4-1 from a lousy angle early in the third (one of Cederlund’s few mistakes) it was all over and Mörrum collapsed. A sign of weakness when he began to lean.

Halmstad seems stable on all fronts and is definitely a serious challenger in Allettan’s career.

A new and old face were found in the lineup in Tranås this afternoon. Anton Blomberg did not get what he wanted at Hockeyallsvenskan with Västervik and chose to return to the club he represented with good results in the 18/19 season.

The skilled striker immediately showed up, putting a penalty on the net. In the end, however, it wasn’t enough until the end. Visiting Karlskrona was able to retire with the victory after putting the decisive 4-3 in extra time.

In Piteå, Carl Becker was back after recently breaking up with Södertälje. The comeback was useless for the skilled striker, but the team was able to at least leave Örnsköldsvik with three points after a 5-2 win.

When Enköping beat top competitor Wings 5-1, Daniel Andersson scored the 100-point milestone in club colors. As if that weren’t enough, the forward has already scored points in all Enköping’s games this season. In tonight’s game it was 1 + 1.

Tonight was a meltdown for Lukas Söderlund. The forward, who will be Mariestad’s main center, has struggled to get the puck into the net initially, but tonight the first two goals of the season came at home to Surahammar. However, the match as a whole must be seen as a major disappointment, as the guests were able to withdraw with a 3-2 win after extra time.

Niklas Örnmarker Sandberg scored a hat trick when Malung made another strong effort at home tonight and was able to defeat Skövde 7-6 in extra time.

Borlänge crushed Eskilstuna Linden 8-0 on Sunday and goalkeeper Victor Eriksson put up another good effort as he kept the only zero of the round.

Newcomer Sundsvall had a really strong weekend with several handicaps picked up at Hockeyettan North. On Saturday the young team achieved a 0-2 to 3-2 home win against Kiruna AIF with methodical work and patience and on Sunday the Blues picked up several more handicaps and were able to defeat Kalix 7-6 in a veritable feast of goals.

Important points in the account for the rookie who surprises in a big way at the start of the season.
