The main suspect in the attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in 2015 has been infected with the coronavirus and will not be heard in court.

Therefore, the high-profile legal process is postponed indefinitely.

The man is accused of being an accessory to the murder of twelve employees of the satirical newspaper’s editorial office, as well as the murder of a police officer and four civilians during an attack on a Jewish store.

The offense can be classified as “complicity in a terrorist offense”, which can result in life imprisonment.

In addition to the main suspect, ten other people would be heard in court in the coming weeks. All of them must be negatively evaluated before the judicial process can be resumed, announces the judge responsible for the case, Regis de Jorna.
