A Blekinge woman sold three million crowns worth of puppies over three years, even though she did not have a permit, writes Blekinge Läns Tidning.

She is now sentenced to a suspended prison term and a fine.

Between 2014 and 2016, the woman ran a very large kennel business and sold 205 puppies over the years.

After a notice to the Swedish Tax Agency in 2017, it was discovered that the woman did not have a permit and did not pay any income tax.

Previously, the woman had a permit for 25 adult dogs, but that permit was withdrawn after a review.

Already in 2017, the woman received SEK 1.3 million in residual taxes, money she did not have, and declared bankruptcy. The district court considers that the business can be accounted for as a sole proprietorship, despite the fact that it had no accounting, so it is liable to pay SEK 50,000 in fines, in addition to the residual tax it has already received.

In addition, the woman is sentenced to one month of probation and fines of 4,000 Swedish crowns.
