A classic joke on Halloween is throwing eggs.
But now the Ica trader Robert Larsson wants to put an end to it and has introduced an age limit for eggs.
– It’s sad that it’s necessary. But I’ve been thrown eggs myself and it’s not much fun, he says.
On Halloween, you often have to choose if you want to pass out candy or if you want to be exposed to a joke.
A classic joke is to throw eggs at buildings or people. But Ica trader Robert Larsson believes he is going too far and has therefore now decided to set an age limit for eggs at Ica Kvantum in Stenungsund, something NyheterSTO was the first to report.
– We heard about a person in Orust who underwent ovulation. We also know that it is the young who have released the eggs, says Robert Larsson.
He says they wanted to do something about it and they searched the internet and found another merchant from Ica who had done the same thing before in an attempt to stop ovulation.
“We thought it was a very good idea and we decided to give it a try,” he says.

He himself has been exposed
Robert Larsson says the store put up a notice on Friday night and there is now an 18-year age limit for eggs in the store, at least for Halloween weekend.
– We have only received positive feedback from customers. They think it is a good initiative, he says.
He also says that a friend of his who is a policeman sent a text message and praised the initiative.
– It is very sad that this is necessary. But I’ve been thrown balls at myself and it’s not much fun. If you want to have fun, you shouldn’t do it at someone else’s expense, he says.
There are exceptions
But there are exceptions to the temporary rule.
– If there are young people who buy weekly to help their parents or similar, of course we will allow it. I mean, if a young man comes in and only buys eggs, we won’t allow it, says Robert Larsson.
