Many goals were offered in today’s damallsvenska match.

Kif Örebro scooped three big points and secured next year’s contract.

Umeå had no chance and was defeated 5-1.

Umeå didn’t create many opportunities when he visited Kif Örebro today. They managed to score a goal, but it didn’t go far when the home team scored five.

Örebro broke the deadlock with a penalty, via Karin Lundin, after just under 20 minutes, and then the home team got underway.

Before the break, Lundin had also scored his second goal of the match. Umeå goalkeeper Tove Enblom did her best to collect the ball but was unable to control it. Instead, Lundin was able to register the ball in the open goal.

Secured the contract

Both Frida Skogman and Nathalie Hoff Persson provided two assists each and were incredibly important to the structure of the game at Örebro. Freja Olofsson was everywhere in the first half and also scored one of the goals.

But Umeå’s goal, as Sarah Mellouk did, was perhaps the most beautiful of the match. With a good run, he almost reaches the penalty area and from there he shoots the ball at the far post.

Kif Örebro is now in sixth place, five points ahead of Växjö in seventh place. They have therefore secured their contract at next year’s damallsvenskan, as they have now earned enough points that they cannot fall to the relegation places anyway.

Umeå is second to last, with a worse goal difference than Piteå in 10th place.
