The alarm went off shortly after two thirty the night before Saturday.
– The exact circumstances are not clear, but it is a security guard who has been stabbed by several perpetrators, says Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesman for the police.
The guard was wearing a safety vest, which may have saved his life.
– The stabbing must have gone through the clothing, but not the safety vest he was wearing, says Svedemyr.
In connection with the attack, the guard must have also been hit in the face.
Dog Patrol Alert
Svedemyr has no information on the damage situation for the guard, but he must have been able to get from Lysekil, where the attack occurred, to Munkedal on his own.
– There he was received by the police and the ambulance. The patrol obtained the GPS coordinates of the place where the attack is said to have taken place, drove there and searched the place with a dog, says Fredrik Svedemyr.
No findings could be assured. On Saturday morning, no one has been arrested so far.
A report of serious violence has been made against an official.
