The operations in Linköping that are closing due to the recent increasing spread of covid-19 are:

The activities of the schools and kindergartens continue as usual.
It may be necessary to close individual schools if the infection situation worsens. Right now there is a primary school and a secondary school in the municipality where the spread of the infection is high.

In addition, the municipality calls on the associations that carry out activities in the municipal facilities to also assume their responsibility. If it does not take care of this, the municipality may decide to close the facilities.
In the field of culture and leisure, there will be important stops.
– We are entering a zero position now. For our associations, this means a great break, says Karin Olanders.
Municipal libraries are one of the activities in question. During the corona pandemic, the city library has had an additional service in which you can receive a bag of books outside the entrance. In addition, staff bring books home to the elderly who are isolated in their homes.
– We will continue to provide this service to these groups, says Karin Olanders.
Those least affected by the new closures are children of primary school age.
– For those under 15, there may not be such big changes, because they can continue to play sports, for example, says Karin Olanders, director of culture and leisure at Linköping.
All closings are currently valid until November 19.
– This is a three-week investment that we make to break the infection curve. We will be successful if everyone takes responsibility, says Paul Håkansson.
