The Örebro police have launched a major search operation for a woman in her 80s who has been missing since Thursday night. The woman must have been trapped in her car.
– She must have spent the night in the car and she’s frozen. When he got up, he could say on his mobile that he saw fields and a hunting tower. Then the battery died and we have not been able to trace it, police spokesman Lars Hedelin tells TT.
The woman was on her way from Örebro to her home in Fellingsbro, between Örebro and Arboga, and is said to have turned onto a smaller road where she got stuck.
– He hadn’t planned to be away for a long time so he has no food. There are many who seek it. There is too much fog for our big helicopter, but we have drones with thermal cameras, says Hedelin.
