Skånetrafiken has developed a new travel ticket, which will facilitate flexibility when traveling by public transport.
– Our customers’ needs have changed rapidly and therefore we must also act quickly, says Pernilla Lyberg, Skånetrafiken’s director of sales and marketing.
A new ticket option will arrive no later than the last of January.
On Friday, Skånetrafiken presented a new type of ticket. It is mainly aimed at those travelers who do not use public transport every day, but travel occasionally.
The ticket, so far it has not been given a name, it contains ten 24-hour tickets that can be used at any time within 30 days of the purchase date. Compared to the cost of buying ten separate 24-hour tickets, the price becomes very advantageous for travelers.
– It is positive that we have agreed to introduce new tickets for Scanian travelers who have been badly affected by the pandemic, says Carina Zachau (M), chair of the public transport committee according to the Skånetrafiken press release.
For those who travel every day, however, the 30-day ticket is still the best option.
The new ticket will be named with the help of Skånetrafiken travelers, through a survey. The release date has yet to be set, but it should be available for purchase no later than January 31, 2021.
Until fall 2021 then another new type of ticket is expected. It contains ten individual tickets at a discounted price and can be used within 90 days of the purchase date.
