The cheese Falbygdens Ost is now recalling is goat cheese in rolls, 23 percent. It has been sold under the brand name “Falbygdens recommends”.
The cheese that has the best pre-date from October 28 to November 14, 2020.
In a press release, the company writes that it is recalling the product due to a suspected listeria:
“The reason for the recall is that our supplier informed us that listeria has been found in the process at the manufacturing dairy. It has not been established that listeria was found in the cheese we sold, but that cannot be ruled out. “

Consumers who have purchased the cheese can return it to the nearest store for a refund or to be replaced with another product.
– Obviously, we take what happened very seriously and have immediately initiated an internal investigation with our supplier. We are recalling the product for precautionary reasons, says Eleonor Johansson, site manager at Falbygdens Ost.
Symptoms of a listeria infection can vary. Pregnant women and newborns, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems can get sick, while others generally do not.
