ATG does not refund Elite race money

On Thursday morning, Swedish Trot presented the research of the star horse Propulsion and stated that the winner of this year’s Elite Race is nervous.

Thus, the horse has been prohibited from competing in Sweden during its five years in the country. In total, 45 races have been completed resulting in 38 wins and SEK 26.3 million in winnings, a sum that will now be reimbursed by the owner of the horse Stall Zet.

First place in the 2020 Elite Race goes to Cokstile, but whoever has bet a penny on the real winner as of May 31 at Solvalla is still not profitable.

– we have the rules ready in this area. It is the result that was determined in relation to the competencies that it applies. When the result changes much later, we don’t fix it in any way, says Marcus Wahlman

Letting profits change owners afterward would have been a daunting task for ATG, he notes.

– Because there are so many races that are affected, there is a lot of money in total that would have to be withdrawn from those who had money paid and then distributed to those who would have won. It is almost impossible in a situation like this. If it had been a race, maybe it could have been resolved. But even that takes a long time.

How many have heard of him and wondered if they have the right to win?

– There are certainly some who called our customer service.

– I haven’t heard of anyone who was upset, as far as I know. This happens once a year, that a horse has ingested an illicit preparation and has been disqualified. It is the same then, the outcome of the game remains even though it has been competed on different terms.

Even if Previously there have been other horses that have been deprived of victories in subsequent big races, including the doping trap Jag de Bellouet, which came first in the Elite Race in 2006, so the Propulsion case is unparalleled.

– There is nothing comparable. Races of the same dignity, definitely, but altogether many important races are completely exceptional.

How much money would you estimate in the case of a “wrong” property due to propulsion?

– It is a difficult question to answer. On Elite Race Day, it was about 18 million. And in a V75 round, it’s roughly 60-70 million. But in total, I would bet on a couple hundred million crowns that would be affected. And it may not even end there. It can be much more than that, says Marcus Wahlman.
