The former party leader is not said to have reacted to anti-Semitism in the party.

Jeremy Corbyn was forced to resign as party leader.
He is also now suspended from the Labor Party, for not reacting to the party’s treatment of Jews.
– I am not part of the problem, he says at a press conference.

The reason for Jeremy Corbyn’s suspension is his comments about an investigation into anti-Semitism in the party.
“Given the comments he made today and his inability to withdraw them in retrospect, the Labor Party has suspended Jeremy Corbyn during the ongoing investigation,” a party spokesman said yesterday.
The Organization for Gender Equality and Human Rights (ECHR) has been investigating anti-Semitism in the Labor Party for two years.

Under the 2015-2019 Corbyn rule, the party has repeatedly underestimated, downplayed or ignored complaints from Jewish party members, according to the EHRC report.

“Exaggerated complaints”

Corbyn has said the complaints are “dramatically exaggerated.” At a press conference, he also said: “I am not part of the problem,” reports Sky News.
Corbyn said yesterday that he did not accept the results of the investigation. According to him, the problem has been exaggerated for political reasons. Now he will fight for the suspension to end.
The actions of the current leader of the Labor Party, Sir Keir Starmer, are described as harsh in the British press. It is as much about Corbyn’s reluctance to apologize, Corbyn’s denial that he was part of the problem, and his claim that the problem was greatly exaggerated.
Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters support him and have published a list of more than 50 occasions when he defended Jews in Britain and other countries over the past four decades.

Receive support from rabbis

Corbyn has also received support from Orthodox Jewish leaders. 34 rabbis have signed an open letter praising the former “respected leaders” of the Labor Party and describing the attacks against them as “irresponsible”.
Just over four years ago, Jeremy Corbyn’s oldest and closest friend in politics, Ken Livingstone, was suspended. It is still in a political freezer.
