Infection control assistant doctor Peter Nolskog in the Västa Götaland region also raises the alarm that some people avoid getting tested for the coronavirus, to avoid being subject to restrictions. Some people read a gap in the recommendations of the Swedish Public Health Agency and therefore see the possibility of returning to school or work sooner if they are not evaluated.
– I saw the slip that you started refraining from taking samples, when you were going to take a sample, and then you were able to return earlier. Now, with home quarantine, that household members must be at home, it will be another thing to avoid getting tested. Because if you are positive, your wife, husband, partner must be at home, he tells Göteborgs-Posten.
Now the rules can be clarified.
– It is not intended to be interpreted in that way. We will review based on that consequence, if we need to clarify further, Karin Tegmark Wisell, department head at the Swedish Public Health Agency, tells the newspaper.
