Several shots were fired at Farsta Strand in southern Stockholm on Monday night. Police suspect that the shots were aimed at some people who were in a residential area.
– We believe this was aimed at multiple people, says police spokeswoman Carina Skagerlind.
Therefore, there are several plaintiffs and the police are investigating the incident as an attempted murder. However, the alleged perpetrators appear to have missed their targets and no person is said to have been injured.
Alarms about the firecrackers came at 9 pm and then “extensive resources” were dispatched to the area, says Carina Skagerlind.
– Whenever we receive such alarms, we go a lot, just in case, she says.
The police will review any camera footage from the area, knock on the door, and speak to witnesses. The site is cordoned off for a technical investigation.
