Johan Elmander joins Örgryte’s management team

Örgryte runs the risk of staying at the Superettan.

And the classic team has fired head coach Keith Millen.

Then 39-year-old former Öis star and icon Johan Elmander joins the management team alongside Sören Börjesson and Miguel Beas to manage the team that ran out of qualifiers.

– It is fantastic that Johan comes and shows that we are joining the association now. He will bring experience, energy and heart for football and not least for the association, Örgryte sports director Igor Krulj tells the club’s website.

Johan Elmander is currently attending the Swedish Football Association’s CBA coaching training, a training for former elite players. And already today he will participate in the direction of the formation of Örgryte.

– I hope I can contribute a bit of routine and you have been in a little different situations before and I hope I can be close to the team and give good feedback and help both coaches and players, says the former profile of the national team.

On Wednesday, Örgryte will face league-leading Degerfors at Stora Valla.
