Teaching at the University of Malmö will continue to be taught remotely also in spring 2021.

This was announced by the university in a press release today.

– Now we need to find a long-term solution for teaching that also protects the psychosocial work environment of students, says Per Hillbur, vice chancellor responsible for education at the university.

According to the decision of a new rector, teaching at the University of Malmö will continue to be taught remotely, also during the spring semester of 2021. Some activities will be carried out on the campus of the University of Malmö in cases where possible to maintain physical distance.

– The Swedish Public Health Agency estimates that the spread of the infection will continue for a longer period of time. Now we need to find a long-term solution for teaching that also protects the psychosocial work environment of students, says Per Hillbur, vice chancellor responsible for education at the university in the press release.

Exceptions are already made in cases where teaching and testing items require physical assistance. Now you should also try to make sure that all students who are now studying digitally can meet on campus at some point, if they can maintain a physical distance. However, some teaching methods are carried out on-site, where practical elements require assistance. However, teaching should be done primarily at a distance.

The decision applies to teaching, policy information on dissertations, homework and business travel for college employees will arrive later this fall.
